Noteese can involve student achievements and proof. This notice explains the extra care required when a minor uses the platform.

Guardians should be involved
Adults should review profiles, proof, card privacy, and sharing choices for minors.
Avoid sensitive documents
Do not upload IDs, birth certificates, medical records, private addresses, or unrelated school records.
Use privacy carefully
Private or Protected Public settings are usually safer for minors than fully Public cards.
Report concerns quickly
Privacy, impersonation, or safety concerns involving minors should be reported promptly.
For minors, the safest default is to share only what is necessary to describe the achievement and avoid unnecessary identifying or sensitive details.
1. Guardian involvement
A parent or guardian should review a minor's profile settings, card privacy, proof uploads, profile image, and public sharing choices. Guardian email settings help Noteese prepare for safer minor workflows.
2. What not to upload
Do not upload full IDs, Social Security numbers, birth certificates, medical records, financial documents, private home addresses, student disciplinary records, or school records unrelated to the achievement.
3. Public visibility
Protected Public cards can be shared by link, and Public cards may become discoverable when public discovery launches. For minors, Private or Protected Public should be used carefully and with guardian awareness.
4. Images and names
Do not upload a minor's image or identifying details unless the minor and guardian are comfortable with the selected visibility level. Avoid photos that expose school IDs, addresses, schedules, license plates, or private locations.
5. Proof status is not full verification
Proof uploaded or reviewed does not always mean an issuer verified the achievement. Noteese will distinguish between uploaded proof, reviewed proof, organization-confirmed proof, and issuer-level verification as the system matures.
6. Reports and safety controls
If a card involving a minor raises a privacy or safety concern, it should be reported quickly. Noteese may pause sharing while a report is reviewed.
